Silly Kong Kong and My Cry Baby

When I reached home at 1145pm yesterday night (after working for more than 10 long hours) I was greeted by a fussy todd. The dad said that it was because the naughty 'kong kong' bluffed the little todd that he's gonna bring him 'kai kai'. I rolled my eyes upon hearing that and cursed under my breath :"@##$%%^ … kong kong always do this kind of stupid things! at times when we were trying to coax him to sleep, he'll come into the room (usually after 10 pm) and asked the kiddo :" BB kong kong bring u gai gai." of course the silly todd will take him for real and get all hyped up thereby driving away all the sleepy bugs which we are trying to “breed” in him.

Kong kong will then just carry him for a 'symbolic' walk around the squeezy 4 room flat. The todd may be silly but not stupid. In his limited vocabulary, 'kai kai' means must wear his shoes, grab the keys, unlock the gate, get out of it and go down the stairs at least. When he realized that he has been con by kong kong, he'll then cry in frustration and kong kong will then realized he can't handle him and he'll hand us back the crying todd before he return to his room, lie down on his mattress and SLEEP while we have to deal with a wailing and frustrated baby.

I reached home at 1145pm, he was crying, I tried soothing him but to no avail, so I left him with kiat and went to take my shower. After my shower he was still crying. I had my dinner at 1230am. After i'm done with my dinner, he's still crying...

Nothing we did seem to be able to soothe him. Finally I pulled out a pack of cheese super ring, opened it and gave him a piece. He stopped! He crunched on the cheese rings and seemed happy. But that didn't last long... After munching on a few pieces, he got irritable and cried again. I carried him, rocked him, talked to him, threw him in the air etc. Nothing worked. Kiat was already long exhausted and is getting irritable himself as he's been facing his tantrum the whole day while I was at work.

I totally ran out of ideas on how to make him stop crying, so I just continue to rock him until he shrieked out the golden word : 'nei nei!' he wanted his milk!! wonderful! True to my prediction after drinking his milk, he immediately fell asleep. Phew!!!!!

I looked at the time after all was quiet, it was already 1.50 am :( what's wrong with him? he has been throwing bad tantrums lately. Can it be because his molars are surfacing soon? I don't think any todd will cry for 2-3 hrs in the middle of the night just because he didn't get to go 'kai kai' right?

Poor guy... he must be so tired after wailing for so long. Kiat is really patient. I am sure Dec misses your presence to also 'wait up' for you.

Looking at the situation... i wouldn't think that Dec is behaving badly. I mean... the adult - has to be blamed for a part of it... - making 'false' statements. It would be a lot easier to deal with if we were to stand firm on our decisions. If we ever waiver or modify it... - like in this case, going out for a walk, we jolly well do it.

Kiat indeed is more patient than i am. I think his kong kong really learnt his lesson after that incident. Just now Declan was whining and kong kong again say wanna bring him gai gai. This time he really put on his shirt and wanted to bring him down :)
