3 generations of sick men

All 3 generations of men in our household are sick. The baby is sick, the dad is sick, the grandpa is also sick....

Dec's fever went up to 38.9 degrees on Tuesday night. I was at work, by the time I reached home, this poor chap was already burning and his cheeks were flushed and he couldn't move about much except sit in the stroller and watched his grandma cook.

I rushed him down to NUH children's emergency and the nurse administered a "bullet" into his butt. The pill brought the temperature down very quickly. Within 15 mins, his temperature was down to 37+ degress and he was all active again.

He started on his mischevious endeavours. He saw a switch on the wall which resemebled a light switch. He mistook it as a light switch and started clicking it. By the time I realised, it was too late... it was actually an emergency call bell for patient to seek the nurses' help. He did it a few times and the nurse came running in a few times. :p

That's him in the fever isolation room.

He's lucky to get the room pasted with stickers of fishes all over. He loves fish.

After a 3 hours stay, he was sent home with the diagnosis of virus.... and a bill of $70..... ouch.......

Wow.. I'm impressed with how SGP hospital handle a sick child. Over here, the nurse will administer the 'bullet'.. and then off you go home.

I'd been to A&E twice with a feverish Zara, and it's alway like that. *sigh*

Hope Declan get well soon.

Agnes, usu it's the same over here in s'pore. After bullet and off u go. Now it's slightly different due to step up survillence because of bird flu. Thus anyone with fever will be isolated as a precaution.

Dec can't go home after bullet coz doctor wanted to do a urine test to ensure he's not having urine infection and that little man refused to pee.... thus gotta stay behind feed him water and "wee weee" him until he peed for the doctor

Hope all the 3 men gets well real soon! And take care of yourself too, Ivy!

Our recent visit to TMC cost us 140 bucks - sigh, whenever the child is sick, it always burnt a big hole on our pockets...
