I forget to mention that reciting poem while watching the moon was one of our ancestors favorite past time during moon cake festival.
Other then teaching Declan some chinese idioms and phrases, Bil will also recite a Chinese Poem with Declan if Dec "gatecrash" and decide to bunk in with him. Few days back, while Dec was lazing on bil's bed, the reciting ritual started. So, guess who is the "un-refine" Poet??
Bil :窗前..
Dec :窗前..
Bil :明月..
Dec :明月.. (instead of ming2 yue4, Dec pronouces as min2 yue4)
Bil :光..
Dec :光..
As Declan is still not very conversant in his language, Bil gotta break up 1 single phrase into 2 words by 2 words, so that he can catch up.
Bil :疑是..
Dec :疑是..
Bil :地上..
Dec :地上..
Bil :霜..
Dec :霜..
Bil :举头..
Dec :举头..
Bil :望明月..
Dec :望.. EH 我要 "she she" leh.... (he needed to go pee...)
-_-" such anti climax right my son???
